Been busy...

Sorta...We still have no name for our baby. So my friends and I decided we'll make a game out of it at the baby shower. I will have one name from each alphabet, A to Z and everyone will have a blank sheet and have to guess what names I pick from A to Z. For every same name they pick that i have on my list, they get points. The most points, wins a prize! We decided the shower would be on October 18th. My bm from my wedding and my college roomie/long time friend are going to host the shower together. I wanted to have the shower in November but our schedules are so busy that we have to have the shower in October. We thought about what to do about invitation and who's going to make them. They asked another friend of a friend but we knew she wasn't necessarily "realiable" so I decided I'll look at some invites and I'll make a few samples and let my hostesses decide which one to make and we'll make it a group project and spend the day making them together. Awwwe..Female Bonding! heheheee
So here are the results of 5 samples I made. One of them is missing a bow....and one of them has a magenta flower on it. I knew they were going to be samples, so I decided to "improvise" and work with what I had vs buying a bunch of things I won't end up needing/using.
Here are my samples I made last night/this morning....My bedding theme is biplanes & helicopters and background paper I am using as a trim has ships, cars & biplanes. That the closest pattern to the baby bedding so thats what I decided to use as the background paper/trim. I have my friends' personal info on the invites but oh well at least my blog is not 'public' so hopefully it'll be ok!

Sample One: This one is my favorite one...



Sample two:
Printed on sparkly vellum as an overlay w/the background paper behind. This one has navy blue backing.



Sample Three: Same as Sample 2 but w/the olive green backing instead of navy blue.



Sample 4: I am missing a navy blue ribbon/bow. I don't have any navy blue ribbon. There will be a ribbon bordering the edge of the trim right above the verbiage.





Sample 5: This one won't have the magenta flower. I will put a round tag/embellishment that matches the trim. Will put a "button" or something about that size to match to the colors as well.
