6 months..ALREADY?!

Things are going well and this little boy here is active as ever. He is a hiccuper like his dad when a wrong move or a shift in Mom's body position throws him off course. I say he is a hiccupper like his dad b/c whenever Dave gets up too quickly out of bed, his chair or off the floor from going through his pile of things, he'll start to hiccup. Baby's heartbeat is good and from the last appt at the perinatologist, the chambers in his heart show no signs of any holes or defects. (If you must know, Dave was born w/2 holes in his heart when he was a baby and he had open heart surgery to repair the holes that were in both chambers). The baby's heartbeat yesterday measured in at 148 bpm
My BP is normal, no signs of high blood pressure. I swear it must be something about going to the dentist that sends my BP soaring beyond bounds. The readings have been 120/70 or less...Yesterday it was 119/60.

Like I said, I gained another 2 lbs which is a total of 4lbs for the whole pregnancy so far. The OB is not worried about my weight since the baby is growing and doing quite well. I started out overweight so she says i'm all stomach and baby. As long as the baby is growing and is healthy it's all a good sign. . My stomach is measuring in at 26 weeks even though i'm at 24 weeks. I asked why and she said it's b/c my abs & lower stomach muscles are stretched from previous pregnancies. I'll be "bigger" from the stretched muscles. Whew. i thought it was b/c the baby is BIG already but she said he's growing at the right rate and he's right at 24 weeks.

Other than that, chocolate & iced tea seems to be my favorite things to eat lately. I have never been a chocolholic or a fan of Iced Tea. Along with those two cravings, strawberries, & banana splits top off the list as well. I can only say that it's 100% a Gammell baby so much like Dave because Dave LOVES chocolate, iced tea and he has a sweet tooth sweeter than mine. I am able to eat and enjoy food again but i must say enduring the 1st 18 weeks of nausea was just not fun and i'm glad that is all over and done with.

As I mentioned yesterday, next will be doing the gluclose tolerance test....Can I cheat? yes i'm still asking if i can cheat..Does someone know how i can cheat on this test?!
I have one more appt in 4 weeks then after that I go in every 2 weeks. It sorta shocked me when she mentioned "after that i see you every 2 weeks..." That's when things started to hit me that it's going to be sooner than soon!

I really am getting excited and looking forward to him being here already...I must be nuts!
