I am alive. I'm just super busy with work, Bryce's sports and activities and whatever else comes my way. When they say it rains, it pours for sure. The whole month of April & May was insane. There were soo many friends diagnosed with cancer, a string of badluck all around, i.e.someone's house caught on fire, my car accident, Dave's speeding ticket, father in law was sick after his surgery, grandpa going to urgent car, Brad and his spider bite, Kurt getting double ear infection, croup and flu....the list was long! One after another after another. TGIJ! Thank God It's June!
Lately though, I can't seem to find the time to write. By the time I do, I'm either too tired or I've forgotten what I wanted to write or I'll start to write something and it just sounds sooo boring. How do many of you write so well and know how to put it all down in words?
We are in the process of deciding to remodel our kitchen. Looking to do it cost effectively w/out breaking our bank. The hard part is finding the right person to do the job. Seems to me Dave & I have similiar taste and we have been able to agree on what to do w/the kitchen so far. However, once we come to some ideas, more ideas seem to keep popping up! Something simple can be so complex. On top of that, a dollar figure isn't going to be the dollar figure we are hoping for. Seems to me our price tag may end up bigger than expected! Worst part? I'm overwhelmed by the choices of cabinets, counter tops, styles, colors, design. It sucks. Makes me want to go run & hide. It's so tough to decide. Couldn't we just hire someone to do all that for us and we can just nod in agreement? Oh yeah, that will cost some $$ too huh?
I'm so lost, where do you begin with all this?

We built our house. Literally. (We didn't hire a builder to do it.)I did NOT find it fun to pick out all the counters, cabinets, fixtures, carpets, etc. Perhaps it could have been had I had an endless, bottomless BUDGET! Otherwise it is frustrating to know what you want but can't afford. :) A couple of years ago we upgraded our cabinets to granite and I love them. It is wonderful to be able to put hot pans from the stove and the oven directly on the counter. Good luck! Be sure to take before and after pictures.
