BOY!
1st appt today was with my perinatologist. (Over 35, you see a perinatologist along w/your OB) Everything looks good and baby is doing fine. Everything on target as well. BP was 110/70 and weight gain? None. Whew. Being overweight to start with is pretty scary b/c one can only get so big you know? I certainly don't want to gain more or be any bigger but just gain what I need to gain for the sake of pregnancy. Although we are told that the it looks like the baby has a 2mm hole in his heart, they are not worried about it and said it should close up. So that's a good thing. Unfortunately for Bryce, he was a lil bummed that he's not having a sister. He really wanted a sister.
I had a 2nd appt today w/my OB and it was just a short check up to make sure all is well. The 2nde appt made up for Bryce since he was bummed to find out he's having a little brother vs a little sister. He was given the opportunity to put the doppler on my belly to detect the heartbeat. He did good and when the NP told him to press a little harder, the heartbeat was loud and clear. He did a good job and he was certainly proud! He was over his disappointment after that!
Below is a pic of the baby. The top pic shows the baby laying on his back. On the screen during the ultrasound room, it showed his arms crossed and resting behind his back. Like how men lay on a hammock w/their arms behind their heads? Well, uh yeah..that's how he was lying and it's hilarious b/c Dave ALWAYS lays on his back that way-arms behind his neck/head. Already like father like son! hahaha! The 2nd pic confirms we're having a boy. See the honu? (turtle in hawaiian). That confirms we're having a boy!'The tech typed a little message on the ultrasound as you can see.

We are officially registered at Babies R Us. It was fun zapping today! I'm glad our big things,. travel system, breast pump, expensive diaper bag, crib & play yard (thanks to my sis in law & brother for the crib & play yard) are out of the way and only a few expensive stuff on there.
Congratulations to all of you aunties & uncles to be!
