Brad started school yesterday but b/c he had summer school, he was all on a sleeping schedule w/no difficulty to get up bright & early. Kyle and Bryce started today. Talk about being ready & excited...Mr Bryce, 7 yr old...2nd grader today, got up at 4am. YES 4 am! Insane or what? I guess that just goes to say that I am a mean, boring mother who doesn't entertain them enough at home that the pure excitement of school took over and going back to school created a huge adrenaline rush beyond belief.
Fortunately it was not me or Dave to have to put up w/him at 4am. It was poor Kyle. I heard he had to smack Bryce a few times to tell him to leave him alone and to go back to bed. Smacking in our household is usually not what you think but a nudge/push. Don't tell that to the boys otherwise they'll be mad at me for letting you know they don't hurt each other & how it shows you that they are not "tough" kids. ha! Ssssh! Eventually Bryce went back to bed.
I hear a whisper, "Mom! Mom! Dave!"
I'm rolling my big belly over EVER so slooowly. Look up and it's Bryce. Fully dressed, backpack in gear and ready to go.
I ask, "what time is it?"
I thought I heard: "6:50am" I said, it's 6:50am?
Bryce in his normal tone of voice, NO! IT'S 6:15AM
OMG! 6:15AM?!!
I could've been in bed for another 1/2 hour but noooo...I got up & showered and was ready to go w/in 1/2 hr...
I guess it's a good thing he got up early, looking forward to school and was ready to go...
Maybe being mean and boring parents has its advantages. After all, if we had a hard time getting up or got up late or started out late, the day would've started off in chaos. That would've not been good!
