We took Bryce to the ER a couple of hours after they got home. Bryce threw up for 12 hours NON stop. It wasn't just a little bit of throwing up either. It was violent puking. What alarmed me was how deathly sick he looked and how lethargic he was. I then found out he hadn't eaten for over 12 hours and couldn't keep any water down. I even gave him a sucker to lick (not suck) and soon after that, he threw up again. He had no fever either.
We were in the ER from 11pm to 4am. He threw up a few more times and finally fell asleep. When the attending physician checked him out, they gave him Zofran and waited about 20 minutes. Soon after that, Bryce asked for something drink. The nurse gave him some water. After 15 minutes, no signs of having to throw up. So then she came back to check on him and offered him a popsicle. He ate that popsicle like he's never eaten one. It was one of them twin popsicles w/2 sticks and he thought that popsicle was the BIGGEST one he's ever had in his whole life.
We left soon after he finished the popsicle. Miracles of miracles, he finally looked normal again. Death seem to have faded away sometime during the 5 hr waiting period. This morning Bryce ate a bowl of ramen. You wouldn't have known he was dying yesterday from all that puking! I think Zofran needs to be over the counter!
BTW, who should I send the $250.00 bill to? Any takers?

yikes!! That is awful. I did the same kind of puking but only for 2 1/2 hours straight. I seriously thought I might die. I can NOT imagine 12 hours. Good thing you went to the hospital. Poor poor boy!
