A conversation with good ol' Eloise, my mother.

So, I'm talking to my mom...and I said, Do you have any name suggestions for the baby? Told her we dont have a name picked out yet. Instantly she assumed chinese name. I said yes I want a chinese name for him but not for his american name.
We want an american name for him and told her we haven't quite agreed on one yet. I told her, talk to dad and put a few names together, american names, please.
She thought that was pretty cool that I asked her to come up some names.

She goes, "What names did Dave pick?"
I said not really anything, from the top of my head, I told her, "Alexander"
She goes, "Whaaat? Alla what? Ala how? Aye ya! It's too long I can't say it! OK we think of some names. Maybe you'll like some we pick!"


My mother I tell you. She cracks me up. She's not taking Alexander for a name that's for sure!
